Are Escape Rooms Scary?

Escape games are a favourite kind of entertainment right now. Their large number leads to full diversity in genres though. Every town or city of Canada and Calgary, Edmonton in particular, has them. Today, a self-respecting entertainer must provide various rooms for people of all ages and tastes. However, one question remains unanswered. Can an escape room be scary?

The answer is not that simple as you can think. The trick is in the very concept of a scare. People can be scared of different things. For instance, a person with coulrophobia (fear of clowns) will react to typical laughter or a picture with a clown. Others will never mind them. The original meaning of a locker room - to escape from closed space can be terrifying for people with claustrophobia. On the contrary, some people will stay calm in an exit game filled with zombies, artificial blood, scary sounds or bats.

Although the majority of such games turn to be intellectual, they do not try to excite with a sole sense of fear. However, you can never know if a room will be scary or not. It will depend on your phobias and tastes.
